Oaxaca, Mexico City, 2020
Alga 012 is part of a series of drawings where I captured the inhabitants of tide pools of the rocky shores of Oaxaca. This drawing is an abstraction of a small strip of algae floating in one of the pools. I was fascinated by the stillness and peacefulness of this microcosmos –surrounded by the chaos of furious waves.
